Saturday July 20th, and Sunday July 21st, the Demeter Childrens
Exploration Workshop was held. On July 20th, the participants

children relaxed in the shade and climbed on the structure.
the other hand, they were afraid of the darkness inside of the
stables. However, Mr. Iwais Yuki no Upopo was very popular
for its dream-like quality. They also liked Ingo Gunthers
small horse objects. Kim Soojas video, in which she doesnt

On the second day, a program used related city projects. With
directions in their hands to show where they would find featured
Demeter artists, the children went around the city to search them
Some people pretended to be the artists to confuse them. The kids
worked hard to find the real artists. There were times when they
asked strangers on the street, Are you an artist?
finding the real artists, they interviewed them. They listened
to the artists to talk about their works and enjoyed the artworks.
Based on the interviews, they made An Illustrated Guide
to the Artists.
After they showed the guides to one another, the artists came
to join them. They laughed at their illustrations and said, that
really looks like me! The children enjoyed contemporary
art through the workshops and met interesting artists. Those two
days were different from their everyday experiences and were very
exciting for them.
The next Demeter Childrens Exploration Workshop
will be held on September 15. We look forward to your participation.
